Victoria Chamberlain with the VNA of Manchester & Southern New Hampshire has been named Nursing Assistant of the Year by the Home Care, Hospice & Palliative Care Alliance of New Hampshire! Criteria for being selected include maintaining high standards for quality of care, dignity, quality of life for patients, and whose work benefits patients, families, colleagues, and the agency they work for.

Victoria has been described as one of the most hard-working, dedicated employees at the VNA of Manchester and Southern NH. She provides compassionate care to all her patients and helps to train all new home health aides—there is nothing that Victoria cannot do.

“She is a wonderfully gifted person who willingly shares her talent with others; ensuring patients are appropriately cared for and orienting and working with new nursing assistants. I have great respect for her,” said Rachel Chaddock, vice president of home health and community services.

Victoria always wants to do everything possible to bring comfort and dignity to the patients she serves. “Knowing that I have the opportunity to make someone in need smile every day brings me so much joy. What I love most about working for the VNA is the one-on-one time I have with the client. They get my undivided attention which allows me to give the best care I can,” said Victoria. On top of providing excellent care to her patients, Victoria is always willing to provide support for her colleagues with a smile.

A colleague of Victoria’s said, “Our agency has a long-term patient for whom Victoria has provided care for many years. During a supervisory visit, I was able to witness firsthand that the patient just beams with joy when she is there. Throughout the entire session, he and his spouse told me what an asset she is to our agency and that they felt so fortunate to be able to have her provide his personal care several times a week.”

Congratulations, Victoria!
