SolutionHealth MyChart, one of the many features of the Epic medical record system, makes it easy and convenient for patients and providers to access medical records.
When the EpicONE Project went live on December 5, 2020, Southern New Hampshire Health and The Elliot officially integrated on one electronic medical record across the system. For patients at Southern New Hampshire Health, that means access to MyChart for the first time. For Patients at The Elliot, it means MyEChart transitions to SolutionHealth MyChart.
“With MyChart, patients can find information such as immunization records, medical problems, medication lists, and lab and other test results all in one place. You can even view your children’s growth charts and vital signs and copies of recent office notes,” explains Elliot Health System primary care provider Andrew R. Rosen, MD.
SolutionHealth MyChart allows patients to view, download, or send a copy of specific visit summaries or an entire record. It also allows patients to see medical information from all health care organizations at which they receive care, this includes both Elliot Health System and Southern New Hampshire Health. Patients will also receive notifications when new tests are resulted.
In addition, providers can easily communicate with their patients using the SolutionHealth MyChart portal through their computer, smartphone, or tablet.
“As a PCP, I find MyChart to be an efficient, direct way of communicating with my patients and parents, answering many questions in a timely fashion without having to play phone tag. Results are released and received quickly for patient review, enabling a more streamlined dialogue if anything’s abnormal,” Dr. Rosen says.
With MyChart, patients also have access to important information about the medications they are taking and instructions for taking those medications. And it allows patients to better keep track of routine care that is due and receive reminders for flu shots and other immunizations, physical exams, and preventative care procedures.
