SolutionHealth Introduces New Vice President, Value Innovation
Bedford, NH (October 31) — SolutionHealth, a regional integrated health system founded by Elliot Health System and Southern New Hampshire Health, recently welcomed Colin McHugh as the system’s new Vice President for Value Innovation. McHugh will be responsible for developing value-based care strategies for SolutionHealth’s two hospitals and more than 120 community-based practices across southern New Hampshire and northern Massachusetts. McHugh will also serve as the Executive Director of the SolutionHealth Accountable Care Organization (ACO), which is comprised of more than 1,000 providers within Elliot Health and Southern New Hampshire Health who have aligned with the goal of collaborating to assure highest quality, well-coordinated care for Medicare patients in in the region.

McHugh joins SolutionHealth from MaineHealth, where he most recently served as Senior Vice President of Payer Relations and Executive Director of Maine Heart Center. In those roles he successfully developed and led an enterprise-wide strategic contracting function across eight local health systems, including behavioral health, skilled nursing and home health services.
Previous to those roles, McHugh served as Vice President of Provider Engagement and Contracting for Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Portland, Maine, Strategic Planning Director for WellPoint, Inc. in Indiana, and as Executive Director of Provider Network Management for Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Manchester, New Hampshire.
