Elliot Hospital is pleased to share that Jenna Rowntree was selected as Emergency Nurse of the Year by the New Hampshire Emergency Nurses Association! This prestigious recognition is given to only one emergency nurse in the state each year. To qualify for the honor, nurses must go above and beyond for their patients and community.

To mark the occasion, the Elliot welcomed Stacey Savage, New Hampshire Emergency Nurses Association President, to the Emergency Department on November 16th to present Jenna with a plaque and associated title before her shift. Stacey said, “I am humbled and inspired by this incredible Emergency Nurse who leads with compassion and cares for her patients with clinical expertise. Congratulations Jenna!”

Jenna was nominated for her strength, ongoing guidance, and support of staff. She is recognized for her quick thinking and leadership abilities, and her command of unexpected situations. Jenna consistently demonstrates her commitment to high quality care, her adept responsiveness and true compassion for those who experience trauma, and ongoing nursing education to continuously improve the care our department provides to patients.

Congratulations to Jenna, on this much deserved honor! Our community is proud of her!
