Home Health & Hospice Care announces that Barbara Lafrance RN, MSN, FACHE, who serves as Chief Clinical Officer with the organization, will begin the role of Chief Executive Officer on April 17th, 2023. Barbara has served Home Health & Hospice Care for 25 years. She takes over the role of CEO from John Getts, as he will step down after nine years to retire.

We truly have a great team of managers, clinicians, support staff and dedicated volunteers that deliver outstanding care,” said Barbara Lafrance. “We are well positioned to meet the growing diverse needs of our community, offering enhanced home services and the expansion of our Community Hospice House.”
As Chief Clinical Officer, a role she has held for two years, Barbara provides administrative and clinical leadership for all services, oversees deployment of resources and fosters a culture to recruit and retain talent. Prior to these responsibilities, she served as Director of Hospice and Quality for Home Health & Hospice Care where she increased access to care, oversaw Hospice, Palliative Care, Quality, and Risk Management and forged and maintained relationships in the industry. Before taking this role, Barbara served as quality manager for the organization. She began her career in nursing and advanced to nursing leadership prior to joining Home Health & Hospice Care.

Barbara is a proven and valued leader in the homecare and hospice arena in New Hampshire, and we are very fortunate to have her assume the CEO position.”
Barbara earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Saint Joseph College and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Saint Anselm College. She is a Board Certified Fellow with the American College of Health Care Executives, and a graduate of Leadership New Hampshire. Barbara is a Board Member of Friends of Aine, Center for Grieving Children, and a Board Member of Home Care, Hospice and Palliative Care Alliance. She serves on the Advisory Nursing Community at Rivier University.
